In 2002, we had a spark of inspiration at the Fox and Hounds! In a disused outbuilding laying dormant, we went to work on a barrel brewing plant. This coincided with birth of our youngest son John (See LJB)! Juggling the running of an up and coming Pub, starting up a brewery and looking after two young children could seem like "Mission Impossible" but with a little help from our friends, we found a niche - West Norfolk being a fairly barren real ale wasteland, there was quite a call for Fox Ales, from the Fox and Hounds to be a natural beer supplier. So in 2002 Heacham Gold was our first brew, met with some rave reviews from our locals! The Fox Brewery now produce 9 different award winning beers ranging across all styles and strengths, as well as special brews and seasonal ales.
