Bumpmill Brewery in a converted building overlooking the beautiful Amber Valley. We have been enjoying drinking real ale for many years, so to begin brewing our own(encouraged by family and friends) seemed like a good idea!

The brewery name comes from the site of an old Bump Mill close to our home. Bump was coarse cotton used to make wicks for candles that later became candlewick bedspreads. Cotton at that time was the country’s number one industry. Bet you can’t guess what was the second? Yes that’s right, brewing.
