It was then, and remains now, a unique pub – being the first in Great Britain to be named after the licensee and owner. The interior consists of a wealth of oak beams & settles. On display you will find a large collection of original paintings and prints, most prominently watercolours of local village scenes by three generations of the Gresley family (many having been painted in the original farmhouse) and a complete collection of Cecil Aldrin prints of The Bluemarket Races, dated 1901. The array of antiques throughout adds to the uniqueness of the inn.
