Raw Brewing Company was created from a passion for real ale and an idea that became reality. After several years of enjoying real ale David decided to have a go himself as a hobby to see if he could produce quality real ale. After several months it was clear that the product was good with the assistance from an army of tasters! It was time then to turn this passion and idea into reality Raw Brewing Company was born.
The Brewery was sourced from Prospect Brewery in Wigan after their success led to an urgent expansion. The Brewery was moved across the Pennines to its new home in Staveley in April 2010 and construction began. The 1st beer was brewed 15th May with Patsy and John from Prospect on hand to assist Grey Ghost IPA was born! The 2 other beers quickly followed Dark Peak Stout and Blonde Pale Ale.
The name Raw came about from the simple fact that all of our beers will only ever be produced using Raw and natural ingredients to produce traditional real ales of the highest quality. Once the core beers have established a selection of special editions and seasonal beers will be produced to accompany them. We are proud to join the other excellent Breweries in Derbyshire many of them have helped us along the way and we have become a member of the Derbyshire Brewers Collective.
