The Grey Horse pub is one of the oldest public houses in the region, dating back over 150 years. Originally called the Target Inn, the traditional pub is under the management of Kath and Colin who pride themselves on their warm welcome and hospitality. You can see photographs of the pub and it’s two bars in the Gallery

The pub specialises in real ales and White Hot, Steeltown, and Red Dust are currently on sale.  Please see the Brewery page for details & awards. There are always a number of guest ales, lagers and ciders on offer together with many bottled beers from all over the world.

For those who prefer a smaller drink, the well stocked bar includes shorts and liqueurs from all over the world. Scottish and Irish whisk(e)ys are a speciality.

For special occasions – birthdays, anniversaries, club meetings etc we can provide a fine buffet meal at a very competitive price.

The photograph shows a typical spread given in August for thirty people in the bar area.
