Simon has had lots of projects over the years. His attitude, ‘How hard can it be?’ has led him down many and varied paths and making and growing his own food has been integral to his life. When he started brewing his own beer in his shed, no-one was very surprised. But when he started developing his own recipes using nothing but the finest grains, hops and yeasts and sharing the results with his friends, everyone began to realise that this was much more than just another project. Simon had a passion and a talent for brewing interesting beer.

And so, from humble beginnings, Round Tower Brewery was born. It started as a vision but with hard work and dedication it has become a reality in our central Chelmsford premises.  As part of a new wave of small local breweries, Round Tower prides itself on producing full flavoured, interesting beer for individuals with excellent taste.
